Jason Robertson is the CEO and co-founder of Planned Packaging, leading a family of companies that deliver end-to-end industrial packaging solutions—from national distribution to regional manufacturing. Since 2001, he has scaled Planned Packaging from a single-location distributor into a multi-division enterprise serving mid-market and enterprise customers across the U.S.

Leadership Focus
Jason Robertson is the CEO of Planned Packaging of Illinois Corporation (PPOIC), a top packaging integration company that uses the expertise of packaging engineers to create AI-driven custom solutions for clients across North America. Under his leadership, PPOIC has grown from a regional distributor into an innovative national provider of advanced packaging systems, materials, and automation strategies aimed at improving efficiency and sustainability.
Community
A native of the Chicago south suburbs, Jason’s journey is marked by perseverance and purpose. Selected by the New York Yankees in the 2nd round of the 1989 Major League Baseball Draft, he spent eight years as a professional athlete, reaching Triple-A and earning a spot on the Yankees’ 40-man roster. After retiring from baseball in 1997, he shifted his focus to leadership and youth development—running a Chicago youth center, serving as baseball coordinator for the Paramount Pictures film Hardball, training the late Bernie Mac for Mr. 3000, and teaching at a baseball academy.

In 2001, Jason co-founded Planned Packaging of Illinois Corporation, driven by a mission to offer smart, customer-focused packaging solutions. His innovative approach led to establishing Planned Packaging of North Carolina (PPONC) in 2011 and Planned Packaging of Tennessee (PPOTN) in 2012, helping the company expand its manufacturing and distribution reach. Today, PPOIC’s integration of engineering, automation, and artificial intelligence allows clients to streamline production, cut waste, and realize clear cost savings.

A devoted husband, father, and man of faith, Jason is a believer in being well-rounded. Outside the office, he enjoys traveling with his wife, spending time with family, and playing golf.

He has successfully led cross-functional teams, streamlined processes for scalable efficiency, and driven innovation in systems that align mission with measurable results.

Steven brings a wealth of leadership and strategic expertise to his role as Chief Revenue Officer of Planned Packaging. Holding a Bachelor of Science and MBA degree, Steven has built a career centered on high level Sales and Operational excellence, fostering growth, optimizing operations, and driving strategic success in dynamic organizational environments for almost 30 years. From a scalability perspective, Steven managed large-scale operations with oversight of $900M+ in revenue and north of 700 employees while driving year on year growth. He has successfully led cross-functional teams, streamlined processes for scalable efficiency, and driven innovation in systems that align mission with measurable results.

Steven feels strongly that leadership is the key driver in organizational effectiveness, while ensuring that accountability measures are in place at each critical point of the business. People are the most important asset an organization has. As LEADERS, I believe we must enhance skillsets where there are deficiencies and capitalize on the strengths of the employee base. Give them the tools, guidance and leadership needed and they will flourish. Having an opportunity to LEAD a TEAM is something I take pride in and understand the importance of ethics, integrity, and morals.
